A day in the life- M-T by ~Link-n-Midna-Club:iconLink-n-Midna-Club:

“Ah! Holy crap! Watch it princess!”

“This is harder than it looks! It’s not my fault!”

“Control that power damn it. I’m going to break my back dodging if you don’t!”

“I highly doubt that considering your genetics.”

“.....What is that supposed to mean?”

It’s a typical day in training in the Twilight Realm. The Royal Guard has the day off for the most part so the new princess can train one on one in their sparring grounds. Age eighteen and still having a hard time controlling the magic she inherited by heritage... it was not a good sign. The new Twilight Princess is full blooded and like her mother and those before that, she should have harnessed these powers by now. Her dusk blonde hair is a mess and the two ties that had been in it have fallen out. Her robes or cloak as most referred to it, lay on the ground near the edge of the sparring grounds, having been folded neatly before placed on the ground. With only her skirt and belt being worn she had a greater amount of movement.

Standing a distance away was the Twilight Princess’s body guard, Iri. The two had been best friends since they were young and hardly went anywhere without the other. Iri’s orange tipped teal hair is unnatural and to many it looks like some kind of headdress when in reality it’s not. Her blue markings are alit and her jacket and skirt begin to fly a little due to the power being used. Locking her yellow irises upon Dawna, Iri formed a large amount of twilight energy in her hands and duplicated her body. Soon there were five, Iri and four of her magic based clones.

“Alright! Let’s try this again!” Iri and her clones called out, “Use your power to dispel all of these attacks and then take out my clones. Get it? And try not to hit me this time... You should be able to see the difference.”

Dawna, the Twilight Princess nods and charges her own magic into the palms of her hands. The duplicates of her friend start into an attack formation, throwing three attacks from each hand and creating a barrage. Dawna warped near immediately high into the air to dodge. Quickly she released waves of her magic which sends the attacks away, wherever she directs them. The one reflecting has to concentrate a lot to fire the attacks back and it only worked for magic based attacks, not items or a person. Directing the attacks back, Dawna lost control and sent the attacks all over as she landed upon the ground again. Stray shots took out the clones but Iri had extensive dodging to do to miss the rest of the reflected attacks. Dodging side to side, ducking and jumping she managed to dodge them all but when she came to a stand position one last attack was headed at her.

“Watch out!” Dawna yelled in a frightened manner.

Iri’s eyes dilated before she dropped her mouth open half way and bent her body backwards. Her flexibility allowed her to bend to points no normal twili could. Right when the attack passed over her, she shot back up and twisted with her steps as she turned around to watch the attack fly.

“I’m sorry; I didn’t mean to do that!” Dawna apologized near immediately.

“Eaeow eaaiqiea coeeile waveowsiaivia waveieow ocaivia’coe oceowviacoevaleowvi eileval lieowwavlevalea.” Iri muttered lowly in twili tongue.

“...I heard that!”

“Of course you did.” Iri states simply brushing her skirt off. The almost two piece skirt fringed with teal had been dirtied by the training. Straightening her long sleeve jacket which more or less was modeled after her former father’s clothing, Iri gave a sigh and shook her head. “That concludes training for today. That was the fifth oh-my-god-I-didn’t-mean-to-do-that-and-could-have-killed-you accident today. Plus... my back is getting sore.”

“Sorry.” Dawna apologizes, “I think everyone’s right though.”

“About what if I may ask, Dawna?”

Dawna picked up her silk robes and laced each arm through the sleeves and pulled on the clothing. It became secure on her body and she picked up her hair ties, quickly fastening them back in place, weaving a clump of hair through each. The held hair rested before her and she lifted the rest of her hair behind her out of her robes.

“About daddy. I feel everyone may be right.” Dawna replies walking towards the palace.

“Nnngh, not this again. You know it’s got nothing to do with anything.” Iri groans as she follows, “Your heritage really doesn’t really mean anything if you look at it. You are who you are, no more, no less. I mean for cryin’ out loud, my father was a twisted man and traitor at one point but do I look anything like that to you?”

Dawna laughs with amusement, “Genetically you do.”

“Oh I see how it is.” Iri smirks knowing Dawna’s joking behavior. Narrowing her eyes in a devious manner, Iri looked down towards Dawna. “You get my point though, right? Just because you may not be like those before or around you doesn’t mean you’re any different. They see and assume instead of getting to know and judging fairly.”

“Yeah, yeah, I get it, Iri. How many times have you and mom told me this? Five billion?”

“Well you never get it through your head.” Iri comments, lightly pushing Dawna’s head to the side.

Dawna gave a sarcastic laugh before entering the palace gardens out back. She noted all the twili were on break currently. Her own mother, Iri’s mother, the high council, the servants; just about everyone was on break. Luckily the gardens could house majority residents in the palace. Children of Dawna and Iri’s generation were running about or socializing. Twila was tending to her son right now rather than chatting away with others like her husband, Erkin was doing. Another teen around Dawna’s age was currently nagging at her older brother who rather be studying instead of socializing. These were the rather infamous half siblings, Rayda and Daesin. Daesin’s about a year older than his half sister Rayda and more of the intellectual type while Rayda’s the outgoing and very happy energetic one. Rayda’s father was also Daesin’s father but her mother is not Daesin’s. Right now the parents were spending time talking, watching the scene and just taking it easy. The advisors are talking amongst themselves about how their day has been going and about daily life. Some even played a game equivalent to chess in the light world of Hyrule.

“Hmm looks like we came at a bad time, don’t you think?”

“Guess you could say that.” Iri responded with a silent yawn.

When Rayda began complaining like no tomorrow about Daesin, both the friends looked in the general direction of the half siblings. Daesin kept saying he didn’t want to do what Rayda wanted to do but Rayda persisted. She was seen tugging on his robes and trying to get him to follow but he was more or less trying to escape in a frantic manner, already at his limits.

“One reason why I’m glad I’m an only child.” Iri comments.

“No kidding.” Dawna adds in.

Both quieted down and watched the scene a bit more, seeing as how Rayda was fussing even more now.

“Ah come on! Pleeeease?”

“For the Gods’ sake, no Rayda! I’m busy!”

“Aw come on! You study things day in and day out. Have a little fun!”

“Yo, girl, I don’t know if you noticed but that is my way of having fun!”

Rayda pulled on her brother’s clothing and pulled him one way as he tried to go another way. She leaned her head back and yelled out towards her father who
